Our story

Born from one family's story. Built to carry many more.

My Shoe My Story began with Jennifer Maureen Moss. A single mother of four who found her way out of an abusive home and spent the rest of her life building safety, opportunity, and hope for the people around her. She passed on June 18, 2010. This foundation carries her initials, her legacy, and her belief that no matter what you've been through, your story has the power to change someone else's.

What started as one family's tribute became a platform for athletes, coaches, staff, and community leaders to do the same thing Jennifer did — turn personal adversity into public purpose.

Every custom shoe in the My Shoe My Story program represents a cause that someone lived. A survivor. A parent. A veteran. A kid still in the middle of it. The shoe becomes their rally flag. Visible on the court, on the field, and in the community. Sparking conversation, raising funds, and building awareness for the causes that don't always get a spotlight.

Choose your cause

A player, coach, or community leader selects the cause or charity that matters most to them personally. This is their story to tell.

Design your shoe

Working with our team, they co-create a custom shoe that reflects their story and the cause it represents. Every design element means something.

Take the field

The shoe is worn publicly — on the court, on the sideline, at events. Every appearance creates visibility and drives awareness for the cause behind the design.

Funds follow the story

Proceeds from the campaign flow directly to the athlete's selected cause. The connection between person, shoe, and charity stays intact.

Three causes. One foundation.

Community Opportunity Too many kids in inner-city and rural communities never get a fair shot at athletics, mentorship, or opportunity — not because of ability, but because of access. We work to close that gap.

Medical Awareness — Neurofibromatosis Type 1 NF1 is a genetic condition affecting the nervous system that touches one in every 3,000 people. My son Ashton is fighting it today. This cause is personal, and we are committed to supporting the research and families who need it most.

Mental Health Children navigating abuse, separated households, single-parent homes, and the unique pressures of military life carry weight most adults never see. We provide resources and create communities where those kids are not alone.

Our long-term vision is a permanent My Shoe My Story Community Campus — a gathering place where young people, families, athletes, mentors, and community organizations come together to learn, compete, serve, and grow. Beginning in Colorado Springs and expanding from there.
